more damage to the car!

Got out my car this afternoon to see on the passenger side front corner just above the wheelarch some damage. There are some nice scuff marks across the corner and all the plastic above the wheelarch is also scuffed wasnt like that yesterday so i guessed someone clipped me while in town.

however on closer inspection the are some large amounts of rusty light blue metal wedged in between the metal and plastic on the wheel arch. This is proper inbedded in and cant be removed but i have no idea how it got there certainly havent hit anything and was thinking something on the motorway may have flicked up but surely the metal around it would be scratched not scuffed.

anyway just thought id share that as it gets most fustrating with everyone seeming to be damaging the car these days

the damage isnt really bad but its easily noticeable but more curiously im wondering how this could have happened unless it was two seperate incidents in 1 day

in the pics below u can just about make out the metal wedged in.

blardy car parks!

Sorry to hear of your damage Matt

Perhaps one of these might assist in its removal

Matt, if the front trim is the same as on the back arches, which I should imagine it is? It's only held on by poppers and should come of with a brave tug.

Looking at the pics, I should think the paint will t-cut out OK. The plastic is going to look ugly though. I don't imagine it would cost much to replace though.

I'm paranoid about getting digs in car parks etc....... Looking out for the tell tale signs of child seats, people carriers etc.... Really annoying when it's down to someones else's lack of care

think ill give it a go t-cutting tomorrow.

funny thing was when i came back to the car, parked down a street, i noticed the car infront had gone and as it was a fairly old one just thought id check he hadnt hit mebut didnt check the corner as someone was waiting for the space.

just wondering where the rusted metal came from.

if anyone sees a light blue Pug 306 with Indi Blue stripes in Rugby give us a shout
