Smile From the Jingu Maru to the Takasago

Any of my JM shipmates being moved with me? This is a good thing-the Takasago is due to leave TODAY! Is it possible? Will we make it? I've not been "loaded" yet but I have changed ships since yesterday.

Tease

Our minds are being played with. There is no such ship as the Takasago; in fact, the OL has a new status category--"Your Car Will Never Be Delivered." (That's why the Wallenius site says "received at terminal" because terminal means "the end.") So don't put too much stock in the supposed transfer from Jingu Maru to the phantom ship. It can't possibly happen.

BTW, if the Takasago really existed, it would be scheduled to leave tomorrow (7/13) per the Wallenius website. But don't get your hopes up.

Sushi anyone?

I just got bumped (up) to the Takasago too!

I *love* Japanese food! I hope there is a sushi bar on this boat!

My boy's on the Tasakago too. At least he's booked for it.

TD54774.

MINI's as late as TD54600's made the last boat, so hopefully I'm early in line to be loaded.

Of the 5700 cars the Tasakago can hold, I wonder how many are MINI's?

Takasago!

Looks like my TE18115 also got pushed ahead to the Takasago which would put it in NYC port on July 21st.

Anyone know what time of the day I should take my camera to the pier (and which peir) so that I can send you all photos of our babies coming off the boat?

Docks of New York...

Are actually in New Jersey, not sure where the MINI's will be offloaded but it won't be New York.

Perhaps the actual name of the boat is "purgatory"...recieved at terminal then put in "purgatory".
Or maybe there is a void somewhere...somewhere on a different plane where lost socks, Elvis and Minis can be found.
At this point anything is possible...

I'm on the TAKASAGO as well. Departs tomorrow actually. I just hope I get on it. I'm TD54286 and already missed at least one other boat.

I am also bumped from the Jingu to the Takasago. If you are on the Takasago, please post your booking#, mine is GBSOU85206B. I also know of GBSOU 85147C and GBSOU85130D. I'm curious to know if there are any others. It would be nice to know how many spaces are available on the Takasago. For what it is worth (not much), W.W. has not been good about updating their site during the weekend. I will be surprised if anyone finds out before Monday if their car is loaded or still "beached".

Here's another booking number: GBSOU88296

It's a "fresh" booking, no "I've been bumped" suffix letters, and all the cars are very recent arrivals at the terminal. Which means if there is any justice in the world those of us in the B-C-D bookings should bump them

Ricardo,

I'm beginning to think that they book all cars on the dock onto the next ship that is scheduled to arrive. I wonder if anyone is still booked on the Jinju according to their computer or if everyone is now shown on the Takasago. I'll check the # you added and try to total all of the cars that are now shown for the Takasago. I guess I really ought to get a life.... Maybe when my car arrives I will get one!

The total of the 4 known booking numbers comes to 751 cars.

Booking number GBSOU85206B

Looking up this booking number, I see 287 Minis with VINs in the following ranges:

TE11532-TE11979
TD50615-TD54825
TC35948-TC36751

Unlike the rest of you lucky souls, I have been unable to access WW's online cargo database. Can someone check to see if I made it aboard Takasugo? My VIN is TD54794.

According to MiniUSA, I've been stuck at Status 155 since 4 July, but they acknowledge that in the last week or so, their database has not been updated routinely as it usually is.

Good news would certainly be welcomed!

Mahalo (like we say out here)
