Question Canadian MINI owners, how long from Halifax?

The Boat on which my MCS was loaded on is scheduled to arrive tomorrow in Halifax, I'm wondering how much longer do I still have to wait?? When can I expect my MINI to arrive in Montreal?? I can't support the wait anymore!!!

Your feedback might help me to survive!!!

My dealer is MINILAVAL, and I was not confirmed an exact delivery date, I was last told mid July.

My car is on the HUDSON LEADER.

What about you MINIGAL?

You should ask your dealer your VIN number to track your car on WW website. (kills the wait )

On my delivery date, me and my girlfriend are planning to go for a dinner at Mont-Tremblant (using the campaign road of course ).

For our vacation: Chicoutimi, Tadoussac, la Cote Nord and on the return, Charlevoix. Probably not a lot of MINI overthere!!!

Can`t believe I still have to wait another week

A week! I wish! My MCS isn't due until September, they put the order in on Wednesday. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a VIN once the dealer puts the official order in?

I'm still waiting to hear that my car is being built. Sometime this month. Figuring it will be in my hands late next month or very early September. I'm in Oakville just outside Toronto. Can anyone give my any indication of the time it will take to get here from build through shipping and from Halifax to the dealer? If anyone has gotten their car... how long did it take? I've seen so many MINIs on the road (only two S's though) and I am getting soooo excited. Put my order in on my dealerships opening day and feels like I've been waiting forever.

EB CooperS /Sunroof,Sportpkg(white 17" S-lites),White roof N mirrors w. white bonnet stripes, Rally Lights, Lapis blue leather int. Back in the saddle again!

When I heard about the WW website on this forum I asked my dealer if he could give me my VIN, he said no problem thinking it was requested by my insurance company but when I told him it was to track my car he didn`t seem to believe me!! He's going to be convince when I'll call him on Monday to let him know that my car is arrived to Halifax!!!

If you can`t get it from your dealer, I heard some people got it from MINICANADA.

At what point do they get the VIN or any type of info that can be tracked? My order was entered into the computer on Wednesday meaning it's in line to be built for a September delivery. When would a VIN be assigned to my car?

The vin is established as soon as the car is sent to production.

So how long from the time that my dealer enters the info into the computer does it take to enter actual production? My dealer says the order was submitted to the factory on Wednesday, does that mean I should have a VIN very soon?

Not yet. Mine took about 2 or 3 weeks from the time my dealer entered the info on the computer to the time it was actually in production. The car is than in production for a few days and it's finally sent to Southampton (mine sat there for 10 days????) to get on the boat.

silvercooper (or anyone), do you know if the canadian MCS comes with an actual Alarm or is simply a keyless entry? I'm thinking that the MCS and Cooper is going to become a real theft target. I'm not about the get a boomerang but I at least want an alarm.

As far as I know the alarm is an extra. The doors do have keyless entry and the locks double bolt. There is also an imobiliser on the car which won't allow it to be started without the key.

I think even the key is quite complex. It has both a static and a randomly generated code built into the chip.

I ended up getting the alarm for my Cooper simply for a little more piece of mind. It is extremely loud when it does go off.
