Well yesterday myself & 2 mates went to one of the biggest 'rice boy' shows in the UK, Max Power live at the Birmingham NEC Lots of amazing cars cars & mods on display The Euro/US style seems to be very big over here with lots of Jap imports & cars running NOS Any way, there were a few MINI's amoung the usual Saxo's, Corsa's etc
Most of the MINI's were demo cars with ICE companies showing off, with there mad installs
I think the Silver/Black Cooper was MINI2 memeber Smooth Ass showing off his new bodykit & wheels, but I didnt like it at all
Russ Swift was at the Citroen cruise strip showing off his driving skills, but he was using Saxo VTR's & not his new Cooper S Strange this about his cooper S is that it is DS/Black but is riding on white 8 spokes
Anyway, I'll let the pictures of the MINI's do all the talking
Thanks for the pics, Smiffy! I agree with you on that Jap style aero kit. In my opinion, it kills the MINI look and turns it into just another souped up sport compact. And how does he open the boot???
There were some nice stereo systems (especially the JBL mountings), but again, does anyone really want a stereo so loud that you can't hear the purr of your MINI engine? Again, it's a step toward becoming just another rice burner. At least they kept the MINI look for the most part.
All in all, I think the MINI is good to go as is. That's not to say I'll not be doing any mods... just that they are minor since I want to preserve the MINI look as much as possible. Just some white taillights, clear side repeaters, and some bigger tires (currently running 15's). Other than that and a turbocharger though, my MINI is staying just how she is now.

Spoke to a guy on the K&N stand he said that the replacement filters are now available & the 57i Induction kit should be ready in the next 3-4 weeks He said it would be around the £70 margin He did say that they have had problems in develpoing the kits as they didnt want a 90 degree bend in the pipe

Come on guys, it may not be to your taste, but don't knock Smoothass. He's no doubt put a lot of effort in. Anyway, I personally don't mind it, and "each to their own" as they say.
Agreed, I totally respect smoothass for heavily modding his brand new car, but at the same time think it could have been a better job... the front looks wrong IMO
