New JCW Owner

Hi everyone, I just joined the forum after purchasing a Cooper S JCW yesterday. I previously owned an Audi TT and was a member of the TT forum for 5 years and this one seems to be equally informative... it's always handy to be one step ahead of the dealers!
First impressions in comparison to the TT... the power band is suprisingly wide since there is no turbo spool-up lag and the handling is go-kart like and far more fun... just not sure about the high speed stability but haven't had enough time to truly test the car out.
I'm back to the dealer on Monday since the pwer steering failed on me. It was rectified after switching the car off/on but I'm holding the steering extra tight in the meantime just in case it goes again????

Hello

Im sure you will love your new car especially once you have the power steering checked over/fixed, hopefully it will be the only little problem you have... Enjoy

Congrats on getting a great car. I am now on my forth mini. I am now in a Works MCSC, and I have had the strut brace fitted, and I can recomend having one fitted. Enjoy your new ride.

i'm sure you'll find the high-speed stability is much better than you'd imagine on a such a short wheelbased car...especially since the TT had some teething problems itself in terms of high-speed stability. Mini has had no such problems AFAIK
