United-Kingdom Plant Oxford Visit

Hi all, paid a visit to Plant Oxford last night.
It was amazing I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Saw the original italian job minis, the red one has 2 steering wheels, one for the stuntman and one for Charlize Theron!
Seeing the cars being made from scratch was such a thrill and then rolling off the line at the end ready to go!
I woud recommend everyone to go if they can it is brilliant!

Do you have to pre-book? Cost anything?

I've been to the Oxford plant too! Fantastic evening out, was extremely impressed !!

Me dad knows some guy in a car club who managed to book it for us, not sure if you can get a visit any other way than by "contacts" hehe.

It costs £7 per adult and £5 for students,no children under 14.
Worth every penny. I arranged all mine by email and didnt have to wait long to go.
They do 9am 1.45pm and 6.30pm. Lunchtime visit is popular but busier. You get more individual attention if you go earlier or later. ENJOY

I think £7 is cheap for such a fun tour, I would have paid double that and still thought it was a bargain!

Yeah but it was suppose to be non profit and all donations(entry) go to charity. Maybe the situation has changed.

I'm in the process or trying to organise one for May but it might not be possible.

Did one a week ago, a portion of the £7 goes to Whizz Kids Charity. I still think it's a bargain.

I don't see why not. Unless the factory is shut down for re-tooling they seem top operate pretty much all the time. Tens of thousands go through each year!

I'm going on one on the 20th March, was hoping to go to speculate if 'ooohh is that my car' whenever I saw a CR one. Possibly will have it by then though. DOH!!
