6ft 8"

Went to a meeting today and asked my rather tall colleague if he wanted a lift to the station in my mini. The rest of our colleagues fell about laughing saying there is no way someone 6ft 8 would fit in a mini and he ought to take a taxi.

So I squeeled to the front of the office opened the door, he slid into the seat closed the doors and they are all stood gaping. Not sure if they were gaping at the flames (which they didn't believe me about, or that he fitted in without altering the seat alignment. Mind you even he was shocked there was so much space.

The mini - it never fails to amaze

I can testify to the fact a 6ft 7in friend of mine fitted in my Minnie very easily Tracewhy He was shocked that he did....he is a Chief Inspector and normally has trouble with the police cars he has to drive. He went back and suggested the force got some Minis but I think it fell on deaf ears

I'm 6'7" and am a proud owner of a Mini. The best part is I also own a Rendezvous (read: minivan/suv for UKers) and I have much more legroom in the Mini!

I love telling my friends about it, since they never believed I'd actually fit.

I'm pretty tall and I fit comfortably behind the wheel. I also have some quite tall friends who also fit comfortably in the passenger seat. People are always surprised for some reason!

I used to have a mate about 15 years ago called big John who was 6ft 10inches tall.He used to borrow my classic mini flame. It didn't have any extending brackets on the seat cos i was the usual short ar$e who drove it.He used to drive it with a leg either side of the wheel and he peered through his knees.I've got a photo of Big John somewhere ,..there is me my mate Tim and John and we just about come up to his armpits.

my mate is 6ft 8ins & is quite stocky in build, he works as a bouncer & quite easily fitted into my MINI when I gave him lifts.

I'm 6ft 3ins and 105Kilo, people always say how do you fit in that???

I recently had a collegue out from France who was 6'6 and the 2 of us driving around in the mini used to get some funny reactions, almost as funny as when i have my 30kilo Boxer in the back or on the seat next to me!

People can't help but look

That's so funny.
I am 6'8" and I just waiting to receive my MINI convertible.
After trying so many cars, I had two options. or go to a hi-end very expensive car like BMW 5 or 7 series, Audi A6 and A8 or big SUVs. I tried the MINI after a friend said that I would fit. I never believe him, but after I tried I was impressed in how well designed the car is.
The funniest thing is to see the dealership sales people seeing me asking for a MINI. They said I was on the wrong dealership and they were amazed as I was to fit so well inside.
One thing I noticed is that the hard top with sunroof is small for me. but without it is fine. other thing is the convertible is great headroom with the top up obviously.
