Hemels magic roundabout:

I think this beats Swindon!

It was acceptable in the 80's

Does look pretty similar. I remember hearing that there was only one other "ring junction" (that's the official name) in the country - maybe that's it!

Tracie,

I agree wholeheartedly. It is even worse when it is on mini roundabouts as well. Then there are the idiots that on a mini roundabout do not know which way is right to give way so they nearly hit you when it is your right of way.

I've encountered this beauty once or twice. i instantly freaked out and took another route that bypassed this infernal monstrosity. i'd only just passed my test at the time and had an unnatural fear of roundabouts in any form!

I'd find it very hard to believe anywhere has more roundabouts than us in MK? We've so many of the things, not that's a bad thing (unless they later decide to put traffic lights ON the roundabout?! The point of that is?!

MINIs are great roundabout cars though. What with our fast roads broken with roundabouts and the country lanes just on the door step, that's what got me into Minis (then MINIs) in the first place!

I live in Telford, we have more than our share of roudabouts, having said that i would rather them than t junctions at least the traffic flows better, well if everbody uses the correct lanes and remembers to indicate both on to and off the roundabout.

I know someone (and this is the honest truth) who drove from Brighton to Bluewater - M23/M25 in the right hand lane of the motorway as she hadnt been there before and was unsure about when she would need to turn right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
