Offline | new BRG cooper-s Thought I should formally say hi to everyone, seen as i've been lurking around here for a while and not introduced myself Well Im today the very happy co-owner of a new 06 british racing green cooper-s, having exchanged our trusty 01 liquid Yellow cooper in. we would have gone for liquid yellow again but unfortunately its not available anymore. but as it stands BRG with white roof and white bullet alloys just looks mental ! ![]() usual cooper-s chilli pack spec with anthracite interior & headliner chromline interior multipurpose 3 spoke steering wheel sunroof xenon's and probably a few other bits i forgot ![]() generally lots of new gadgets on it compared to the last cooper, so i'm going to be fiddling around for ages, the cruise control I think is going to be a boon for long distance driving. well chuffed, just need a to find more places to drive to now ![]() |

Offline | not when we ordered back in dec, although it may have been available still for the straight cooper, soft top and US market. There was mention on here somewhere of a rumoured new yellow colour available soon, but given the factory is producing less cars as it re-jigs for the new model, I wouldn't be surprised if its held back for the new cars. |

Offline | Awesome choice! We can barely get 17" bullets over here (cabrio's only), let alone white ones. Looks pretty sharp. Best buy some stock in a wheel cleaner products company though. ![]() |

Offline | Thanks for all the comments people ![]() Well first few days of the new car I've noticed a few things, Firstly being the fuel consumption, Im not sure if this is mostly from the engine being bedded in for the first thousand miles or so, but its the first car I've noticed the fuel meter go down almost in real time! its a tad thirsty. The 6 speed gearbox is going to take some getting used to coming from a straight cooper. And the extra oomf on the engine, well I've hardly got near 4000rpm yet (keeping it within the guidelines for first 1000 miles) and already I'm finding it very amusing. I think this may persuade me to take some advanced driving lessons or a track day at least. We're still working on a roof graphic design to work in conjunction with the sunroof, when we have something on there I'll post some new pictures up. may even have a bunch of spare designs if anyone wants to make use of them ![]() cheers, Villa mini: I'll try wave back if my hands are not tied from working out this six speed box I spotted a white with black stripes mini few weeks back going past the airport, maybe yours?MiniVee: tires already nicely caked up with mud from our badly surfaced connecting road, luckily it missed the alloys I'll be glad when the sunshine comes out and dries the place up, will make cleaning more easy. |

Offline | Fuel consumption should sort itself out a bit once its got a few more miles on the clock, but you'll probably drive it more than ever then ![]() you'll get used to lots of gears, it's odd driving things with less geras these days ![]() no stripes on us, PW/B MCS aero kit & spots, wave anyway most people wave back ![]() Glad to hear you sounding like you're having fun ![]() |
