Were you bumped from the Takasago?

If you were bumped from the Takasago there is hope to get on the Aida. If you now show as "Removed" on the WW site it means we're going to another vessel.
My inquiry and complaint to WW about being bumped from the Takasago received this response:

"Hi Steve,
Must apologise for delays to your car; we failed to follow our own process which is to ship "first in first out". We are taking steps to remedy this situation and hope to have the matter under control very soon.

Your car is now booked for Aida ets Jul 23, eta Aug 2.

Rgds

Is that Michael Peason? I think Michael is getting a fair few e-mails these days, he's the one who responded to my complain last week (and my car was loaded at the very start of the loading procedure on the next departing ship, although I have absolutly no idea if the events were in any way connected. I did give my cargo ID and booking number in my complaint, though. Can't hurt any).

Yup, the very same Michael Peason. I suppose it can't hurt to voice my concern. If enough of us complain perhaps it will improve service for future MINI shipments. I am ultimately paying the shipping charges so I may as well call the shipper! Let's hope we make the Aida.

Giving WW their due for good customer service, here is the final email exchange:

"Mike,
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the fact the WW recognized the mistake and is working to correct it.
I'm wondering that had WW known that new MINI owners were such a crazed lot perhaps they wouldn't have taken the contract!
Thanks again.
Regards,
Steve Barnatt"

and Michael's response:

"Steve,

We are very pleased to to have this contract and to see the enthusiasm for this great British car; I read a lot of car mags and if it is half as good as they say then you will have some real fun; I'm an old man now but I remember running a Cooper back in the 70's and a friend running a Cooper S, great cars of the time; my only doubts are perhaps at the wisdom of opening ourselves up on the internet to this extent, still I'm making a lot of new "friends".

Rgds
