Ive Been Reversed into!!!

Hi all, the above happened this morning, i was stationary when the Muppet in the pug 205 banger starts reversing, tried to get out her way, but when i thought she was going to reverse no more, she does!!!! straight into my drivers side front light!
Thankfully not much damage, although she has made a nice 3inch x 1 inch dent in my bonnet (below the drivers light) and scratched my bumper!
I feel like putting a bandage on the said area!! shes hurt my baby!
Don't know what work will be needed? but my dealer Prestons, Colne & Insurance company, have so far been great in sorting me out!
Has anyone had something similar? see what work had to be done?
Cheers

Muel

Hard luck. There may be little damage but it's the hassle of sorting it all out thats the pain.

I had someone pull out on me whilst overtaking recently. They whacked the back of my car with the front of theirs, and nearly sent me into a spin.

What really got me was the fact that despite getting her full name, address, telephone number, car type, car reg AND insurance company details, Direct Line still told me I would lose my excess unless I was able to get her insurance policy number?! Which meant me having get back in touch with her to get the details. I find this a little odd.

Was this the same for you - did u require ALL her details in order to keep your excess?

It makes you feel helpless because you just want to make your pride and joy better again!!
I phoned my insurance company up first, they were very understanding, I then phoned the lady offender (partly to see if her details were correct) and ask her if she informed her insurance company, she had so hopefully it should be pretty straight forward?!
Its the first time this has happend, so i didn't know what to do! but i managed to get all the relevant details!
doesn't stop you being annoyed!!

Yup getting battle scars isnt nice. I was in a horrible mood for days.

But rest assured, it'll be fixed and look good as new. Mine looked superb when it came back, and they had even fixed a small scratch on the other side - nothing to do with the incident! Plus, I got a diesel courtesy car for the five days, and made the most of it by clocking up 1200 miles around the UK!

That's horrbile Muel, I hope you get it all sorted nice and quickly

Someone drove into me quite recently, followed a similar pattern of events with regards to contacting Insurance companies and it all got sorted relatively quickly and problem free so fingers crossed it goes the same way with you

Yes Muel, I did get a MINI!

I had to be quite forceful and explain my unhealthy obsession with MINIs but they agreed to it and the Insurance Company footed the bill

I know that feeling. Felt the same when hail made some dents into my MINI, there should be a first aid kit for damage on the MINI. But as said before, your baby will look like new.

still waiting.. for a better time

Various size band-aids from large to extremely large.
