Scotland It starts tomorrow

On the verge of taking the plunge and tomorrow i am taking a wee trip to the dealers to have a look at a new Mini. More or less made the decision butthe time has come to dump my fairly elderly but still rather decent Mazda 323 and get myself an MCS. Still a few things to sort before i order but i am on my way

Congrats!
I'm getting close to 2 years after dumping the old '90 Honda for one.

Interesting visit to the dealers today. I have to say i was quite impressed to see the quality of the current generation mini in the flesh as compared to the early cooper i had driven previously. The interior seemed just a little bit nicer and better put together than i remember it. That said it suffered slightly in comparison to an adjacent BMW 1 series which was blander but spoke more of quality. That said, for the money the mini still seems a better bet than the BMW regardless of quality issues. It costs a small fortune to get a 1 that is as swift as an S so i am not put off yet. Quite impressed with the leg room in the back of the mini too. So much more usable than i expected.

Seeing you are from Scotland there, what dealer are you using?

I had a brief drive of a 1 series (about 6 feet backwards) just to get under the bonnet and what struck me was this is comfy but why I am sat in the back seat?
Tthis was even more apparent when I came to clamber out. What a struggle, give me me wide MINI doors any day.

Dave

I was poking about at Parks in Hamilton today just because i was out that way for the game. Chances are i will order from the Glasgow dealer, just a wee bit closer to home.
