I am hoping someone is going to tell me that it's actually a Photoshop job, and no-one has actually done THAT to a MINI!!

That classic was a one off for the motorshow some years ago, with the paint scheme devised by designer Paul Smith. Others were done at the time by David Bowie (all chrome), Kate Moss (spiders) and I think Michael Caine's daughter (gold/Italian job).
