In the US they didn't have the POLO so they did that same thing with the Golf a few years back. I didn't care for it then and don't care for it on a MINI now.

originally the Harlequin polo were in showrooms to show the different colours the car came in and they got soo much intrest that they started to sell them! can't say i like it on the mini tho and £6,000 thats alot of money i think, just think how much it would be to spray the rest of the car to the colour you like

You'll probably find the owner is a bit clumsy when it comes to parking....

Rather than an intensional respray the owner just replaces it with what they can find. It started out chilli red, then replaced the rear with bits from a LY MINI, then filled and painted the doors in whatever was found in the garage!
