Offline | Hello Olly and Tim. One can just dream of a Radford mini (the classic one)! Not sure about the new ones at the moment (they are more sporty than classy). Love your mini Tim, it's amazing what a set of alloys can do to make your car stand out from the crowd. I use to own a Golf GTI mk2 Campaign (met blk) back in the day-you have good taste in cars. Guess that why we own mini's now!!! |

| Beer Society President... | Yeah I'm not sure about the new one either but an old one for sure! I quite fancied a small bumper campaign when I was looking for my MK2 but I fell in love with the colour of that one. Thanks for the comments on my Mini, as you say the wheels make a huge difference. I really fancy a project new Mini (Probably not this as I need it for work) but I'd love to use my VW styling influences on one, really low and simple and some wide 16's... Where abouts in S.W.London are you? ![]() |

| Beer Society President... | Sounds like it has a lot of potential. Silk green is one of those colours that standard doesn't inspire me but done right could look fantastic. I was toying with trying to find a set of BBS RS's from an E30 BMW in 16x7 and fitting some bigger dishes. I really want to try pulling the arches and running 16x9's but I'm not sure about the rear arch clearance. Is that the plan for yours/what you've done to yours? The kind of thing I've got in my head is Dark Silver Cooper (Not an S, the bonnet scoop isn't very euro! hehe), running Jenvy throttle bodies and Emerald management. Chassis wise some Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers with camber adjustable top mounts, 16x9 DZ Exclusives, S front bumper, flush the front indicators and fogs and relocate the indicators to the headlights. but keep the grilles in the bumper, loose the 'strip' thingy on the rear bumper and smooth that, debadge the rear end and possibly the bonnet, probably have to fiddle around with roll bars and things to get the drop and arch clearance but I'm sure its possible! I know Wandsworth a bit, got a lot of uni mates in and around Clapham and some in Wimbledon so go out there occasionally. |

Offline | Wow thats alot of modifications! Would look very classy indeed. I own a Electric Blue/Black roof Mini Cooper S with the 16 inch x lite alloys. I've only had it for 6 months (got it as a replacement for my Porsche 911 and I've fallen for it-wasn't looking for a S or Electric Blue). I'm going for the classic Austin Mini Cooper S look so keeping it simple (Electric blue/Black roof) no stripes(think they make the car look cross eyed)! I also have a Rover Mini Cooper (1998) in british racing green with a full length sunroof (which lives in the garage and comes out on sunny days). My ideal build mini would be to build a new Radford Mini. I'm thinking a heavy specked Cooper or Cooper S(with everything of the options list), must have a Sunroof. I'd have it repainted in Metallic Peacock Blue (bentley dark blue) with full Magnolia leathered interior (dash etc)! Maybe even have some sheep skin rugs (but no wood as it doesn't go with modern cars). I'd build a modern radford mini as radford would have in the 1960's!!! |

| Beer Society President... | Nice. I really fancy a 964 Carrera as a project, possibly even something earlier like a 912. A friend of mine rebuilt a 911 shell which had been in a fire as a 935 replica, it was stunning and sort of been hankering after something similar ever since. Got a friend that is about to start a 964 Carrera 4 project so will watch that with interest. GP white is a good colour (I still believe white is understated!) and must have looked great with the black Fuchs. Not as practical as the Mini though!! Mind you boot space is probably comparable! haha. ![]() |

Offline | Don’t own a MINI yet, but I am completely eaten up with them! Lord willing and the creek doesn’t rise I’ll be getting an ’08 Cooper S. Until then I plan to shake my groove thang around here to pick up some of y’all’s Cooper verve and swagger. |
