No way.

Don't take this the wrong way but it goes to prove the worth of the GGR kit.

Ive spoken to alot of people about why my cam snapped including JCW and even Randy Webb and GGR
They all say that having a 15% reduction pulley will not cause the cam to snap, i spoke to JCW and they use standard camshafts on the Works kit.
No matter what i had done to my car everyone says that the cam snapping has nothing to do with it. The car has done 48000 miles , 42000 with the GGR conversion
Someone says excess heat could cause it to snap , others say a seized bearing could also cause it to snap , some say a faulty cam , i could spend money to try and find out why it snapped but to what result?
I think it was just one of those things

TBH i dont think i will miss it, i mean i know its given me more power, and a nice noise, but still not worth that much money IMO.

I will cya on sunday Dunc! We can go for that noise record! My friend is not coming with the other ''special exhaust'' so its down to us!

It could be excess heat. One of the reasons the JCW kit has the inlet ports/exhaust ports CNC machined is to help with dissipating the heat.
