| Loves the Fuzzy One | Why don't you post a poll? There was a poll a few months ago about what color you are buying, but we have lots of new members since then. I have a beautiful silk green, and would be interested in the standing of that color. I know of two other posters here with silk green, but both of them opted for the black roof. ![]() Global Moderator |

Apparently, mine is the only silk green on the road within Toronto area (other 2 are still in showroom). Offline | Sombody has a Silk Green with a black roof here in Milwaukee. It's sitting next to mine (Chili Red) on the dealer's lot and it looks very nice. I also have a friend who likes SG the best. I think they're pulling the plug on that color too early. |

Offline | I noticed earlier today that the Roadfly forum had a colo(u)r poll; Velvet Red, Pepper White and (solid) Black tied for least popular colour at 4%. Cosmos Black and Electric Blue was 5% and Silk Green was 6%. Most popular was BRG at a whopping 21% with Pure Silver (surprisingly) only at 9% - maybe some people are now starting to avoid choosing Pure Silver because it is perceived to be too common? |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | Yours and mine sound like twins! I haven't seen any other Coopers on the road here in Norfolk, except for planned meets. I've now seen all available colors, either at a meet or on the dealer's lot. IMHO, Cosmo black is not very pretty. I am fond of both the pepper white and velvet red, if silk green were not available I would have had a difficult choice between them. ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | silk green To those of you who have, or have seen silk green: Could you please describe the color to me the best you can. I have a pure silver on order and love it, but I am afraid the color is too common. I am very interested in the silk green, but the tint looks different in every picture I've seen. I am a lillte afraid to order a color I have never actually seen. fairmont |

Offline | Silk green reminds me of the color of money, American money. It looks as if it is the same color as Malcolm Forbe's Diablo. | Loves the Fuzzy One | Re: silk green Take a look at my gallery photos. There are many shots of my silk green with other MINIs. I think seeing silk green next to the others in sunlight gives you the best idea of the true color. However, if you don't hurry and order, this may be a moot poing. ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

| MINI2 Regular | Pepper White with black top When I went to buy my Mini cooper last week, I had all intentions of buying a silver with black top. But when I pulled up and seen the Pepper White with Black top I fell in love with it. I never thought I would like an off white car but I do. I have had so many people tell me that it looks very rich and the color combo was a good pick on my part. And the silver and black interior set it off just perfectly. Mark_Ohio |

Offline | I still love my PS/black combo. There's no other combination that complements the mini interior as well. It looks well sorted and (to me at least) rich. Black might, but its too much bother to maintain. i guess my second fav is the dark silver. My next favorite is pepper white/bl, for nostalgia. I think the BRG is naf. There's no depth/character to it. I'd favor the dark blue over BRG as it at least has some metallic to highlite it. I kinda think the EB is so-so, and red/wh is so overdone as every 2nd mini, classic or new, seems to be trying to be a works car. The color I'd wish MINI would do is (hold your hats)ORANGE! Slightly on the tangerine side of it like my classic clubby. I'll duck now for all the incoming bricks...... ![]() |

Offline | Mark_Ohio We too, did fall in love with the Pepper White/Black roof combo! Originally, we had intended to order a MINI Cooper in Velvet Red Metallic with White roof, but that day we went down to the dealership, they also had a Pepper White Cooper demonstrator there. It was a toss up between the 2 colors as both of them looked gorgeous, but in the end the Pepper White won. You are absolutely right....the richness and depth of this paint is truly amazing! And the black top and mirrors do help enhance the superb black/white contrast. Pepper white has the look of a vintage British car paint color. Needless to say, my wife hates white cars and since I myself had owned 2 white cars before, we were not prepared to change our minds from the Velvet Red to the Pepper White...my wife was very impressed with the Pepper color choice! Also, we saved $400 going with Pepper White over the Velvet Red Metallic, which commands an extra charge over the regular solid colors. We ordered a Cooper exactly like yours (Minus the Premium Package, we have the 8 spoke 15" wheels) right down to the standard painted bumpers. We think the Pepper White is one of those few MINI colors that look better without the bumper chrome trim accents. How do you like the std black leatherette seats with the Silver Gray interior door panels? Enjoy your car! '02 MINI Cooper CVT On Order: 2004 MCS (Est production date: 9/5/03) |

I was told by my dealer & MINI Woodbridge that mine was the only silk green on the road but obviously not. So, I am glad that silk green is more 'popular' than I thought within Toronto area. Actually I was worried before I got it since I haven't seen it in flesh but my girlfriend thought since it's a fun car it has to go with fun/unique/rare color.Silk Green Cooper with white roof & wheels Sports seats, 16'' run-flats, Xenons, Sunroof, heated seats, automatic A/C |

[/b][/quote]I love it!!I can picture it perfectly w/ a white roof and mirrors or the yellow as the roof and mirrors. I would love pepper white w/the chili red for roof/mirrors. Actually it would be cool if the option was givent to mix and match all the car colors into contrasting roof/mirror combos. silver body/indie blue contast or black body/BRG contrast... The choices are endless (well tecnically they are not, but you get my point.) OOOOOO tangerine/liquid yellow!! My son has this little die cast replica of some classic El Camino in this kind of light mint, mon-metallic color, now that would look great with a white/roof and mirrors. |
