break in period?

this might be a really stupid question ...

i'm planning a trip in a month where i'll be driving about 2000 miles stright through. My car has about 2500 on it. Is it sufficiently broken in to do this long a trip?

I'd kinda like to rent a car to not put all those miles on my car ... but I can't imagine not having the mini on the trip!

Not only is it sufficiently "broken in", but I can't think of a better way of treating the car than to a nice long journey, without lots of damaging cold starts.

At the risk of opening a whole new can of worms here, get the oil changed (yes, I know it's not recommened by BMW, but it's your engine, not theirs ) now that the initial "break in" is done.

I know a lot of people worry about "putting miles on the car", don't worry, use it! If your worried about resale values then just keep the car longer and forget about miles, that is until you post on here as you proudly pass 100,000 miles

Tigger.
