Mini Cherished...

Does anyone know where the mini cherished minis come from?

The reason I ask is I'm thinking of selling my cooper s, would they buy it from me to re-sell at a profit? I don't want to sell, but needs must, buying my first house and house + car payments + petrol just don't add up to a sensible figure!

I realise I would get more selling it privately, but its much less hassle and you take away the risk of dodgy buyers money transations, especially when its for quite a large sum of money.

Thanks for any advice.

MINI Cherished cars are part exchanges and straight deals that you are seeking. Some may be bought in from closed private auctions to BMW/MINI dealers from the factory and others are dealer demonstrators.

There is just one moon and one golden sun; And a smile mean friendship to ev'ryone; Through the mountains divide, and the oceans are wide; It's a small world after all.

I suspect that 99% (if not all) of all the "cherished" Minis are trade-ins or folks in the same boat as yourself. I can't see the BMW/Mini dealers scouring public auctions for them (?).

& Yes you guarantee they'll be re-selling at a "decent" (from their POV) profit.

Sad that you've got to let it go , but as you say, life does make you choose you priorities. Selling to a dealer should be easier (& safer), but you will make less.

Yes thats exactly where MINI cherished comes from. Trade ins for new minis or buying off customers that don't want them anymore. They also put on about £1000-2000 onto the price they give you.

Sell it privately you'll get way more for it than the dealership.
