Hyper Blue MCSC (GTT) near Hudds??

One of the nicest Minis I've seen - I was followed by a Hyper Blue S Conv, full Aero Kit, and a GTT conversion (230 I think). This was on the way to Huddersfield.

Looked great :-)

Just wondering if it's anyone on here - quite a memorable number plate too, which I won't post

Would not happen to have the reg number MC 05 FUN by any chance? If so it's mine!

Had the car for just over a year now and been on several runs to France, the car was a standard MCSC until the first run but so many people had modded cars we just had to go the whole hog and have ours modified too.

Thanks,

Alan and Sue.

Ps, what do you currently drive and what mods are you planning?

Update.

Just noticed your car is also Hyper Blue, nice seats. Are they JCW's?

Mine's actually an Indi Blue - and yes my seats are JCWs

My mods are in my signature, but no more!! I've spent so much money recently it really is time to have a rest

Same here on the money front, I think the new MCSC comes out in around 18 months to two years and to be honest I don't want to invest any more money in our car (apart from the odd silicone hose Etc.).

I am sure Roland down at GTT already has plans for the turbo version, he is already an expert at tuning the Audi TT so lets wait and see what he can squeeze out of the MCSC when it arrives.

At the biginning of 2007 Continental car Tours will start advertising the next France Mini adventure, get yourself signed up and have a ball blasting around France with a bunch of other BMW Mini's. 2005 had 50 Mini's because the event was advertised in GoMini mag, unfortunately the mag has gone bust but despite this around 18 Mini's went to France in 2006 and we still had a good time.

The web site is - www.continentalcartours.co.uk

Sounds great...

I think if I was driving for such a long period I'd need to set my suspension on "soft" though...as it is at the moment (KW coilovers set on 80% stiff) I'd have a bit of a job convincing anyone to come with me!! Whenever I have passengers they (especially girls) moan about the bumpiness. Tut they just don't understand

Suprised you're already thinking about another MINI though after the GTT conversion on yours and the Aero kit etc., as I said it's one of the nicest MINIs I've seen - helped that it was a sunny day and it was freshly cleaned though

Find the girls something long and hard to sit on, I am sure they will want to go for long rides in your car!

God only knows what the cars like to ride in with coil overs, I have 17" Bullet wheels, the original run flat tyres with standard sports suspension and the rides poor. I have considered changing the tyres to non run flats as most people do who are after a better ride / handling combination but I backed away after considering the consequences of the wife or my son who is 21 and now on the insurance having a blow out at high speed. TBH I would never forgive myself for changing the tyres just to get more grip or improve the ride while putting them or myself at the risk of being injured.

By the way, the cars always clean and it costs me a fortune!!!.

Alan.
