Peugeot 206 is a great handling car, I was considering one 3 years ago but the cheap interior put me off
I've got a cooper with SS+/16"s and IMO it out handels the pug. There is no noticable bodyroll at all, although the ride is harsh it never gets unsettled by bumps mid-bend and the only thing off putting to some is the way, usually underbraking is it follows the tracks in the road.
The easiest and most fun way of finding out is going for a test drive as the handling IS unbelievable
MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter
I owned a '88 205 Gti many moons ago .... but I was forced to sell her by my wife. She was a great car , excellent handling and I never had anything wrong with her in 118,000 miles (yep true).....and yes they handled well.
But the mini oh er! Fantastic... brings a smile to my face again , and my wife won't force me to sell this one!!!!!!!
The 205 had (and still does have) great handling. My mate had the 1.9gti, but it died. It was good around the corners, but I think my cooper with ss+ and 16's had the slight edge on it, but may have been other factors (tyres, driver etc) coming into play. Either way, you're not going to be disappointed if you change to the MINI!
ok mate...so its all about that sport suspension plus, and you gotta put some wide wheels and tyres on! I fitted Hamann 17-215's on mine, i love it.
After about 3000, my cooper has loosened up and it handles sweet... I just love to chuck it round corners and i used to drive a bog standard punto which hated roundabouts, but the mini loves 'em!
