So I'm puttering along (ok, perhaps quickly zooming) and I look at the odometer and, gasp, I see that I've missed rolling over to 5 digits. The numbers 10024 stared blankly back at me.

I'm I the only one to miss a major vehicular milestone?

I always do it. I think "ooh, not long for xxx miles" then I forget on the journey and look later to see I'm over it.

Not really but I usually forget to have a camera with me to record the event

I'm always missing them, I normally notice with about 2 or 3 miles to go and then completely forget. On the way to Brands Hatch at the weekend I missed 22222 by 2 miles

on the way home from Brands on sunday i was nearing 1000, so had to do a little detour round the block before landing on the driveway at exactly 1000 miles

didnt want to move it after that
