Offline | i know, although i can be accused of not waving or whatever as i dont always (especially round these parts ) but even so how many other will even make eye contact with you??i've been to mini shows (MITP, Himley etc) and the majority of minis i saw on the journey to and from them would wave, smile, flash (around the cotswolds areas) when i came back from MITP in august in Milton Keynes there was a mini on the opposite side of the dual carriageway/crash barrier and even he waved and smiled |

Offline | Hiya, I'm from Leominster, loads of good roads around here ![]() Saw a Checkmate in Hereford on saturday, couldn't see any trade plates on it, Space Blue looks really good on the road. Also saw a MC in CR on the M5 southbound(just after J9), and a LY with white stripes going southbound on the M5 J10 ish on sunday. |

Offline | I have to say that in Bristol the Mini waving has really improved. Blue JCW on Thursday driving near Frenchay Hospital.....very enthusiastic flashing and waving! Then 20 seconds later a silver cooper with black stripes, got a nice way. On the way to work this morning, a red Mini One with driving lights gave me a quick flash! Well done guys! BEP |

| as mad as a box of frogs | Since owning a new MINI I have noticed that people are a bit reluctant to wave to other MINI drivers, I sold my old classic 1340 full race cooper lookalike to buy the new beastie that adourns my driveway. people used to practically shake their arms off in the old MINI's so why cant we in the new MINI's be the same, coz it makes you smile when somebody you don't even know smiles and waves at you, and makes your day. |

| I am not a number!! | I guess the same reasons that it used to be hit and miss when they still made the old mini, not everyone then used to wave, as there was still someones aunty that had brought one as it was a cheap form of transport ![]() Not everyone buys a MINI because they understand the car, the heritage, the lifestyle and the social side of it. All you can do is to wave at everyone and hope that you put a little thought in the back of the minds of those who don't have a clue, they then go away and think why did that other MINI wave at me today? They check there lights all work, check there isn't a fault and then think maybe its because I have a MINI like them? ![]() I have trained two fellow MINI owners that I pass each day on the way to work, and I am proud that my constant daily waving finally got a response, and still gets a response every day I see them ![]() Its only a forum you know! ![]() |

Came up my rear end fast and had his fogs on! I flashed my emergency lights at you and you flashed back! Hi there! |

Offline | Brought Cess back with me to Bath today, and upon entering the City pulled up along side a black MCS Works. Wasn't going to bother waving, as I hadn't had much luck with other MINI owners on my journey, but spotted the MINI2 sticker in the back window, so hello to the bloke driving and the little boy in the back - I was the nutter waving like a madman! ![]() James |
