New Mini @ London Motor Show - UPDATED!

I just read this on the Top Gear web site ( http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/783/ )

"BMW has some treats in store for those visiting the British International Motor Show in London in July.

The firm will be sharing its stand space with Rolls-Royce and Mini to create a huge BMW Plaza looking out over the neighbouring docklands, and there's also a floating bar just for Mini fans.

The biggest news on the BMW stand will be the latest Mini concept, which makes its world debut in London. This concept is reckoned to be the closest yet to the next generation of Mini, due in 2007."

What do they mean by "latest Mini concept", is this the traveller or the long awaited R56 mini?

This is on the Auto Express web site ... "It is set to host the manufacturer's first-ever world debuts at a British motor show, including the second-generation MINI and possibly the new 3-Series coupé."

Well all the other shows have had traveller concepts so I don't see why London wont be the same. Potentially though they could also unveil the 2007 MINI.

I think they ought to restrict entry to people with minis only .

Make sure you take your MINI Passport or keys... it normally gets you in to the 'owners area' if they have such a thing this time round

Cool! I'm debating going or leaving it and going to Paris where I think the new MINI will be reveiled. I could always go to both eh? Its only 2 hours on a train!

it won't be the new MINI, thats been shown at Paris I think, as there is a press embargo on the new MINI until August time isn't there Paul?

hanging out in MINI and BMW hospitality like i normaly do

dont know what day ill go yet probs first day as its the day after my birthday
