Angry Some W*********R Stole my wing Mirror

Friday night some git has pinched the glass from my wing mirror.

First I suspected vandalism but not I know different. Just phoned the garage to find they are £17.88 + Vat.

Seems it was nicked intact to replace a pricey broken part!

Is there a less expensive way of replacing this?

Adrian

I know it seems a pain... but for the sake of £20 its not worth getting too wound up.

Be thankful they didn't break the whole mirror housing!

You may be able to find a mirror glass cheaper at an auto factors...

Or you can probably get replacement glass from somewhere like Halfords (or Halfrauds, as some refer to them ) for about £7-8. I've got mirror glass for other cars there before so they may be worth a look.

Hope you manage get it sorted

Well I suppose it was lucky someone didn't need a new bonnet or door or something cos that would have been a pricey part to replace!

It's just so annoying when people do things like this cos then you end up being inconvenienced.

My sympathies - some little scrote kindly removed my driver's side A-pillar trim last month, presumably for the same reason! That's 40 quid I'm not gonna see again.

Wondering now if there's some way to electrify an entire car......

Tin foil

Sorry mate sad to hear some little tit has touched your pride and joy, there are various new Mini Breakers on the web, how about trying them?

Update

Seems like I need to but the convex mirror instead

This is the bargain price of £28

Seems that this is actually a bargain. Just been talking to the parts chap and he said that he just sold a mirror glass for an X5. It was heated with that electro dimming glass so a bit fancy but this cost in excess of £250. Must get one.....
