GTT vs Works + Insurance

Im still looking for a Cooper s JCW, and there' doesnt seem to be much available in my price range. I've also looked at the GTT options that i've seen many people have had done on this forum. My only gripe is the added premium with my insurance is about £300 extra with the GTT over the JCW. How much of the GTT tuning is 'hidden'. For TLC and warranty purposes

The airbox standa out like a wart on a pretty girls face.... so no hiding that!!!

Although, my JCW airbox now has Rolands air filter modification inside, and cant be noticed except with very carefull looking.

The rest of it, well, mostly very stealthy. A mechanic would see the pulley wheel being changed, if he looked. The other probelm you might get if you didnt tell your servicieng garage, is they might "upgrade" your engine map - which you wouldnt want after your mods.

The insurance issue is another story. Its only a matter of time before they start inspecting crashed cars for pulley changes. Badges often give the game away too....
