Hey I not saying showing off is bad mate, far from it! Just that in my opinion that this feature serves no other purpose. (again my opinion)

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.

Now, I would agree with you, but ONLY if your car does NOT have a sunroof, and if the windows are broken and don't roll down.

It's a nice feature to have during the hot summer. Everything opens up and the car cools off for a moment before you get into it. Then, once the aircon is blowing well, the windows come back up again.
Very handy in Atlanta...

England Hello Summer Time

If you can open your car windows at 30 yards, on a hot sunny day, just like I did today, believe me ! I think it makes a difference. Only for the sake of 2 minutes I know but it really is a nice touch. I have never experienced coming back to my car and finding it unlocked, windows down. The day I do will be the day when I will hate this feature.
Lets hope it never comes. I am now happy to say that my Mini is now sporting an England flag hooped over the aerial. Took it off the window mounted flag. Come on ENGLAND !!!!!

anyone experience annoying half down windows
you press hard but for sum reason they dont go all the way down and stop half way (if your lucky) or drop about an inch from the top making you look very silly

why cant they do a feature where two consecutive clicks of the open button drops the windows down completely - would be far better and wudnt use up all the battery life in the key

My desk is on the third floor of our building, and yesterday I opened my windows from up here 5 minutes before I left to cool the car down. very handy!

And before anyone asks, yes, our carpark is pretty secure!

Personally, it's a nice feature if it's activated, but I see no sense in paying to have the ability to roll the windows down with the remote unless you've just gotta have it to "show off".

Even if you unlock the car by mistake it will rearm and lock its self after a little while!

With CO this will not happen!

It used to on my old One. It had comfort opening, and would also lock itself after a minute if you unlocked it but didn't open any doors. My new 2006 Cooper doesn't have comfort opening, but does re-lock itself.

I conducted an experiment after seeing one similar on TOP GEAR. It envolves you taking further and further steps away from your car until the remote no longer works. Then if you touch the key against your head.Hey presto, it works further away.WHY ?...
Have a try and list your results. I have not done the measuring thing as yet, but will do if the response is worth while...
