Monte Carlo??

Hi - I was on the M25 yesterday and saw a new MINI with a plaque on the back that said 'Rally Monte Carlo' - is there a Monte Carlo rally for MINIs?

Just wondered if anyone knows....

Thanks

Mini Cooper 'S'es won the Monte Carlo rally in 1964, 1965, and 1967. They also placed first, second and third in 1966 but were disqualified on a controversial technicality related to the lights. Oddly enough, the Ford that finished fourth was also disqualified, thereby leaving the fifth placed (and French) Citroen the default winner. Paddy Hopkirks car in '64 was number 37, hence the numbers significance to the new MINI's marketing.

Hence the making of the MC40 - 40th edition CR/W MCS that many people put the "33 EJB" badge on, which was the winning number and the guys name or something?
