Cooper help please

One of my friends is wanting to take the step and become a Mini owner

She really wants a Cooper.

Are there any years she should avoid because of teething troubles etc.?

Thanks

Why not get a one and get a remap and just debadge it. then most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Privately, you should be able to pick up a decent Cooper for £8k, although I wouldn't expect anything too fancy - just the basics, or a car with high mileage. You could pick up a pretty nice One for that sort of money though.

get a one, no point in getting the cooper really. unless there is something specific about a cooper you really want.

If you get the one you/your friend would have more cash to make little changes to personalise the car.
