Offline | Remote vs. Key For Opening/Closing Windows ? My key (in the door and turned) will close but not open my windows. My remote will open my windows when held down. My dealer was going to find out why my key will close but not open my windows when inserted and turned. His answer today was , "When the remote is programmed to open the windows, the key will NOT do it when inserted and turned... it will only close them." Just wondering if this was true. Anybody out there able to open the windows by remote, but do both operations with key in door? Ken Shapiro Electric Blue w/ Sport Package...first "S" delivered in Maryland (5/10/02) I've been everywhere but the electric chair...I've seen everything but the wind. |

| MINI2 Regular | Remote open?? I will be very happy if my car does those things on Wednesday when I take it for service. At this point it I have to sit in a hot car to open it up, and close it before I get out. Real poor dealer service in this aspect of setting up programmable options prior to delivery. 2004 Pepper White Copoper S on order :white: 2002 Pepper White/Black Cooper, 9800 miles :white: 1972 Gunmetal Innocenti Cooper 1300, miles unknown |

| M5 Extraordinare! | I think they allow remote open only so u wont accidently close someones fingers in between the windows when u are using the feature while not paying attention and allow for key close cuz that way u can see if anyone is going to get their fingers cliped. |

| MINI2 Master | Mine only closes the windows and sunroof by holding the key in the door lock in the lock position. Holding the key button pops the boot, and nothing - not holding the key in the lock, holding the lock toggle, pressing the remote button - nothing automatically lowers the windows. I'd like this feature programmed. Chilli Red/White Cooper S, Sport Pack & Sunroof. Delivered June 12th, 2002!Now with MCS Winter Tire Package. |
