Angry Scum!!!

Scum!!!
Last night some piece of scum took a screwdriver to the badges on my car. they left some really nice gashes in the paintwork on the bonnet, boot and both panels that hold the side vents and indicators.

If anyone hears anything of these items being for sale, please PM me ASAP!

Thanks.

I’m sorry to hear that Rero_69. Good luck in catching the *******s and getting some payback. I must admit to being a bit worried the other week when surfing the eBay and coming across a Works badge that was going for silly money. I thought at the time that this is all we need. The scum bags will be looking for a quick buck. The other truly worrying thing is who’s buying them? Supply and demand!

I feel your anger. Happened to me a few months ago too.

Hope you get your car sorted out soon.

Unhappy

Sorry to hear that mate!

If it makes you feel any better, my girlfriend's Ex boyfriend ripped my ariel off and scratched the whole of the car with it! I have been quoted £700-£1200 for a full re-spray. It happened 9 months ago but i cant pay that, and my insurance does not cover acts of vandalism! i was gutted!

Any pics of the damage?

I hope you are gonna take that dude to court? Why should you have to pay for that? At least you should let the police know. What a complete t***er!

Angry

I tried to matey, but the police said "You know he did it, We know he did it, but we have no proof" So he got off scott free! He also carved a big W (his initial) in a circle in the passanger door of my girlfriends Mini One on the same night, they were parked outside her house, then he went down to her dads house which is about 5 mins away and ripped apart his back garden!! (This was on a drunken violence spree after being in the pub all night).

Then he moved to London afew weeks later to live with his Mom; but he had to return to Wolverhampton to go to court because of the messages he sent to my girlfriend saying he was going to kill her, and her Mini got stolen on the same night!!!! How convinient!! but we called 999 and 1.5 hours later the police turned up (now 1:00am) , but they again had no proof and so he got away with it. But he did get a £50 fine for the text messages when he went to court. (they/he? smashed the house window and took her keys)

She eventually got her car back after 7 weeks and they wouldn't give her a courtesy car as she was under 21. They found it in Heath Town, Wolverhampton with no petrol, about 200 extra miles on the clock (we always reset the tacho after filling up) and it had been crashed into a curb so the wishbone was bent, but this was all fixed by BMW.

Now though her car is 100% fixed but mine is still scratched all over!! i think i have some pics at home of the damage to both cars, ill upload them and start a new post later on!

Sorry to hi-jack the threads but hopefully this might make rerob_69 feel a bit better. It could be worse

No worries about the hijack, I agree totally that it could be worse. My insurance is going to cover it with me paying my $500 excess. Because of the way they got the badges off (screwdriver or other sharp implement) there is scratches all around the area where each badge used to be, meaning that the bootlid, bonnet and both panels in front of the doors need to be resprayed.
On inspection by the insurance assessor, there is also a scratch from the front right guard going over the wheel arch and onto the driver's door, so this will need to be done too. At least on the plus side, I can pay a little extra out of my own pocket and have the arches, skirts, front and rear lips colour coded while it's in the shop.
Insurance is also going to cover me for a hire car while it gets repaired. Thank heavens! I have to use this car for work every day.

PS Thanks all for the kind words.

CCTV has its own problems too, a friend was told his CCTV evidence was inadmissable as he had no signs saying he was recording! How would he have caught the little git if he had put a ruddy big sign up saying he was recording!!!

Sorry to hear about this, I had the same problem

FYI, I replaced the badges with printed vinyl ones, actual size etc...

Hopefully now, if anyone wants to nick them, they won't need a screwdriver, and I got 10 for £17.

Martin
