my cousin used to work at the cowley plant and took my lil bro to an open day there where they were doing that.
Would be handy to learn!

Nope, but this video clip surfaced last year and has been going around since then. I also saw another clip showing a VW Golf U-parking. I guess if you practise over and over, you might learn how to do it! Something to do with the hand brake, I think. Pulling it up will make the rear wheels spin around.

I'm assuming this links to a video somewhere/somehow? Even allowing pop-ups I can't find it. Any more clues?

Evening

Its a video of Russ Swift up to his usual tricks in Manchester

Here is a english popup friendly link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6jSy...ch=russ%20mini

Its just a very well practised handbreak turn, this guy has been doing this for years, started in the classic mini, remember seeing him at the Mini 35th birthday at Silverstone, and the 40th.

He used to do a lot of driving on 2 wheels to, he even had a special mini mini made for his son, which also drove on two wheels

can't say i can do it ... but since all the parking spots around here are meant for SUV's you can pretty much get 2 or 3 MINIs in a parking spot

I park like that every morning when I get to work. Today I'm sandwiched between a brand new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and a Mercedes SL55 AMG.

I kept trying it with my family saloon, which is why I'm now buying a mini. I'm determined to get it right.

just spin it into a parking space get out and lock it and walk away as if u'd just parked up normally.
