Scotland Attacked by a shopping trolley

Or it has a shopping trolley look about it.

Hello

My MCS has a vertical scratch on the passenger door (sniff sniff)
It isn`t deep, the pictures look worse than it actuall is.
How do I fix ?

Not so keen on the touch up paint, used them in the past and it never looks great, is it a mega t-cut session ?

Help.....please....gonna start crying soon.

Birdog

P.S. please excuse the cigarette hanging from my gob.

If it just is a superfical scratch (unlikely from the pictures) you can use T-Cut/Poorboys SSR or simalar cutting products to remove the scratch.

Judging by the pictures its chipped into the actual paint surface so cutting will only lessen the scratch.

Mini paint is hard work by hand so good luck. Just remember to wax the area up after cutting

Can't make out much by the pic. Had my car slightly mauled by a shopping cart also. The Cooper shop used the touchup kit. Not great, but better than it was before the dent/scratch which went to bare metal. Someone must have flung that cart mighty hard. Wished I'd have been there, but it's a car and will get dented and scratched. *sigh*

Apply the cutting component in a backwards and forwards motion and not in a circular pattern as this will put "swirls" in the paintwork.

Good luck

If the scratch has not gone through the paint it can be buffed out by a bodyshop. I had one done about £60 +vat.

My series 3 cabrio had the same injury from a shopping trolley which was still lying beside the car. Cost e £40 to get it fixed from Dent Master.

Do what I do when parking anywhere, take up two spaces and that way u have less chance of getting bumped.
