 ECU Seal manufacture fault - its wet outside so get it fixed! My Cooper has gon in for fixes, and they inlcuded on the worksheet one clip for Linkage fault, and another clip for a seal. Called the dealer, and they explained that this is a clip to fasten the seal around the ECU as water is getting in! I think this is one of those problems that you won't notice till your ECU shorts! So I would recommend that next time you are at the dealers for a fix, get them to check the ECU seal out, and see if they need to give you the clip!
