Unhappy end of an era!!! goodbye MINI.. hello new car...

Well, it's been fun, but I felt it was time to move on. I loved my MINI, but the more people I saw driving around in them, the less I wanted to drive one! I got mine in July '02 and it was faultess and just so much fun. I went on a few runs with the Middlesex people (until I moved to Bournemouth!), and I also went on the great Cotswolds run one year.. now that was fun!!

Anyway, it's gone now (my sister bought it so it's still on the same driveway! ), and was replaced by this, on Saturday just gone!

Thanks to everyone that helped with my MINI adventure, it's been a pleasure! And thanks to all the great people that I met throught the site for being.. well.. great!

Redpanda, Moonpie, MartinL, Ruthie, Speedd, Sham, Leece, AidenL, Minicruiser, BigBadDom, Dora the explorer.. and anyone else I've forgotten!

Oh and cheers Paul Mullet for a great site!

The End.

Nice replacement Mark. Is it the Turbo? I've been tempted to get one myself.

Good Luck with it.

thanks guys!

Aiden.. i may pop back from time to time, you never know!

wo53 rks.. thanks, the rarity is part of the attraction!

LMB (Mo?).. it's not the turbo, the NA is the one for me. slighlty more sensible, 60 in 5.6 secs is fast enough still tempted to get one?

aha! Cooperation.. thank you very much!

End of a era, but a upgrade in speed is always good.

Nice....

Take the Vauhall badges off, put Skoda ones on instead - perfect fit and it looks dead funny. Seen one like this on the motorway a few months ago... showed the bloke had a great sense of humour...

Good luck with the new car. Hope it doesn't give you much trouble. I do like those, even thought of buying one once but I just can't get the MINI thing out of my head which is why I bought the JCW S.

Look out for me coming up behind you some time!

If it's the turbo, get it chipped. I went on a mixed run a few years ago and there was a chipped turbo on the run. Man that thing could seriously overtake!!

the back vauxhall badge has already gone.. it just has the VX220 badge now..

it's the 2.2 NA.. no mods planned for the forseeable future.. I'm hoping to keep my licence!

I just fancied a change, and apart from scoobies and lancers I can't think of another car where you get so much bang for your buck, and with a proper sports car layout! I also think it looks very

i might try MINI baiting soon to see the comparison..
