MITP we won!!!!

we won concourse (not very compared to some of the older gens) modified bmw mini at mitp woo hoo.................... we were the only entry!!!!

on a serious note it was a shame that more people didnt enter and that it was for us (at the camp site) a little intimidating from some of the older mini generations . we had two people swear at us for being new mini's before we had even parked up!

great weekend other than that and was great to have meet so many more new faces!

cant wait for next year

CONGRATS!

I had a similar experience at some shows at the beginning of this year. People saw my old Classic at some shows and assumed I was in it, when I told them I had the MINI there were some less than polite reactions.

The minority tend to spoil it for the majority though, so now I take it as my personal plight in life to annoy those who annoy me.

I had no probs apart fromt that (ah i won't say) radio guy whom was really, annoying me!! Talk about anti new mini or what, "the mini gp supper dupper thingy with the broken clutch given to me by bmw" He was the only person i came across.

Overall cracking day and congratualtions again!

Luddites.

Saw your car v.nice. Have a few pictures here: http://www.sportscar-racing.com/gall...y.php/cat/9357

I've had loads of BL/JRT/ARG minis and loved them all. But the new MINI is the dogs....

It's called progress. I thought the turn out from both variants excellent. Will be there with our car next year!

Well done it takes some to put your pride and joy in the spotlight for the critics. I was a bit pi**ed being parked in a field miles from the action, and with my old folks (oap's)coming for a day out being charged full price to get in, that sucked, they won't go again and I feel like voting with my feet next time too. Pity cause as you said it's a good day out.
Congrats, keep up the good showing

Thumbs down

Agreed, the pricing was a bit OTT even for non OAP's.

However, my mates who attended didn't pay. They just walked straight in - what was going on??

I thought it was your car i saw on the end of the concours row well done . on the MINI2 stand we only had the on adverse comment by some cabbage driving by nice and safe in his rust-it brown mini, kinda surprised really as we haven't had that kind of attitude at shows for a couple of years, not so obvious anyway. Most of those on the MINI2 stand camp at the nearby Cotswold view camp site , better facilities plenty of classic owners do too and never a problem. Ive been taking the MINI2 stands to classic shows for 5 years now and its getting better, progress cannot be stopped.
