I wouldn't do it just for looks alone. The big central speedo is awesome.

But then again, I don't have a nav system so I guess you really weren't asking me.

Most fun on 4 wheels.

#9 Cooper at Baron KC. June 2002 build.

Why would you want a nav system? Isn't getting lost the whole point?

My plan is a GPS and a map

I own 2 GPS units and a lot of maps, I don't feel the need.
The price is huge for the factory nav system and you don't even get enough software to cover the entire US and Canada.

I love the nav unit, but it is rather pricy for a toy. and the fact that many areas aren't covered hurts me a lot (two cities I travel to often aren't on my disc). If you do a lot of driving in areas that are on the disc, but don't know the streets, then it's a good tool.

IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats).

never mind if i'm going to pay $1600 for a toy the whole world better be on it. I thought that there is going to be a new nav system for the mini in 2003, with DVD?

1600 smackers to muck up the look of the dash. umm, i'm gonna go with "nay"... but then i'm going sunroof-less mainly so as not to muck up the nice white roof, so i should probably not be paid any attention to.

It *will* be a DVD system, but I haven't heard for sure if it is a 1-disc or 2-disc system for the entire USA. The CD system takes 7 for the US and one more for Canada
