| Polo GT Owner! | !"&*!! Feel sorry for you hope it gets sorted Not sure how bad the damage is but to avoid losing the no claims shop around and see if you can get it fixed elsewhere, pay for it out of your own pocket My rear aero bumper had a hole in it after reversing into a maxda mx5 (go kart) Anyway MINI said I needed a new bumper £400ish from memory, soon got it fixed elsewhere for half the price ![]() ::MINI Sold! Offline | Seems pretty much due to it's shape and construction, unless you're very lucky, it's a case of replace not repair, pretty much guaranteed if it's going via insurance. |

| Eat my dust. | Someone kindly reversed into the back of mine at the weekend, while outside Asda (then drove off). Bumper now features 2 dents, a hole and loads of nice scuff marks... Looks like a new bumper is in order, but I can't afford to lose my no claims (would raise my premium by more than the cost of the work) so it looks like it's going to come out of my own pocket. ![]() Now driving a 2006 Brabus Roadster Coupe PW/B Cooper S Works has gone to its new home! |

| Banned | ![]() If you want to protect your NCD then it might be worth looking at paying for the work. Remember that an aero kit bumper is about £300 compared to a standard bumper at £450 ![]() You might be able to find a bonnet from a breakers yard, as this will be the expensive part ![]() |

Offline | I was rear shunted about 18 months ago, and you could scarcely see any damage at all. However there was damage under the bumper and repairs were £430 The guy who did it was hardly 20, and I think he might have had some insurance history, so I offered him the opportunity to settle directly. He handed over the lot in folding stuff !! Cash settlement probably saved him a small fortune. |

Offline | Sorry to hear about that Neil. To be honest, the spots causing damage to the bonnet is one of the major reasons I never wanted them. I've had spots on cars before and they either get chipped/cracked by road debris or bumped by people walking past the front of the car. It's the same kind of damage that gets done if a 4x4 has a bull bar - more often than not the bull bar gets pushed back into the front of the motor causing more damage. Hyper Blue should colour match really well - hope you get it fixed soon. |

Offline | Good excuse to go aero front from someone like mstyle and a carbon bonnet from someone like Lohen At least you get better bits for the same as you might pay BMW ?? |
