I just got one for my Birthday
A surprise, and my initials, its for keeps so can be transferred to any car. It was from the DVLA Cherished Registrations web site. I read a comment from someone, cant remember if it was on this thread, about initials and people not knowing, i know, and at the end of the day, i don't 'mod' so it makes it just a little bit personal for me

Yep - I also went for it via the DVLA site. On it, of course, you have a far wider choice of plates by inventing just what you like. Just a bit of fun.

Not a fan of personalised plates but if R53 MCS was up for sale...well lets say I would be on it like a frat boy on a fresher ::

Seen T?? MCS and numerous other MCS plates for as little as £250 ....for that money its worth a thought.

R

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!

Hi Inga.

I have a personal plate and I think they look very classy.

You should go to the DVLA website and look up numberplates in the "current style prefix" 51 registrations. Unfortunately MC 51 LHX (which reads MCS ILH X) has been sold ( X could stand for a kiss)! There are other alternatives available...

Hope that helps....R

If there are plenty of MCS plates for as little as 250 quid very few people are going to want to pay you more for yours when they can get one from the DVLA.

true. i wanted to buy 1, OP which as a number plate would look like 10p for my JCW-S and when asked by the sales person why do you liek this plate/what car is it going to be on i said: i was lookin at putting it on JCW-S as a "fun" plate (a 28k car with 10p on the plate ) i was fobbed off about the plate may not be for sale and he had to check. A week later and nobody had rang me back so i called up, enquired about the same plate - its now £100k (POA)

Any thoughts on plate >W10 RKS< for a full JCW MCS (outside of the UK)?
Or, the first JCW MINI fitted by Cooper Garages (and still for sale?) has >A11 WMC< all works mini cooper...

I've got my own plate on my car and even though it doesn't do anything in the real world it's a nice touch that makes the car mine.

If you do get a plate and you move letters so they are closer together etc so that it reads differently the dvla may take the plate off of you without any compensation to yourself

True, but when it comes to spacing..theres spacing and theres..........spacing! The DVLA has only ever taken back one number plate from what ive been told which was 51 NGH and re-sold it for 280k+ and thats 51 (space) NGH

dvla is definitely the best place to buy. If you want an old style they have ones like E5 MCS for £599. something like N666 MCS or R70 MCS is only £250!

The MCS i have reserved comes with the plate N666 MCS....great minds eh?
