How Loud Is Your MINI???????? - MINI Cooper Forum

I thought it would be good to have a thread about your MINI's sounds levels

For anyone who has had it checked post the db your MINI kicks out

Mine was tested in the summer

A rear standing reading at high revs produces 108db

I have a JCW exhaust, GTT manifold, de-cat pipe and no clue how loud it is, until tomorrow. I'll post dBA afterwards.

What do you have on it to make it that loud?

At what RPM was yours tested at?

At what distance was the testing equipment at from your exhaust?

My car is a ONE with tuned engine and dual exhaust out the back.

The distance was about 1.5 meters and was at any revs. From idle to red line loudest was 108

mine is a sober shade of green, not what i'd call loud at all. But my shirt collection is a different story.............

mine is 85dBA @ 4500rpm from 1/2m from the exhaust. Thats accelerating VERY slowly to keep the noise down.

i dont know what db mine is, but i found out is it is very very very loud at 700rpms

and boy does it sound good.
