Offline | Your photography as the MINI2 header - Win Privilege Membership - October 2006 1st September 2006 saw the launch of the new look MINI2 website. One design feature of the new website is the large header image which takes pride of place above the MINI2 logo and main menu. Now we'd like your help and creative input to keep MINI2 fresh. Each month MINI2 will be running a new competition to find a banner image to add to the rotation on top of the site. Your photograph (and maybe even your MINI) could be seen by hundreds of thousands of people every month. Plus, as an added incentive, we'd like to offer free Privilege Membership for life (yours or the website's, whichever the shorter ) to the winner each month.Featured photographers: ScottyB - www.mini2.com/galleries/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/16791 MiniGolf - SmugMug - 27772's photo galleries Hafid - MINI Pictures - a photoset on Flickr BlacknBlue - www.flickr.com/photos/iguana_azul Emis - www.rogueminis.com/3.html grand_cru - Gallery Every month we will have a new topic or feature we'd like the submitted photographs to have, so we have a nice variety of MINI based images in the collection. See all banner images in a "slideshow" http://www.mini2.com/images/headerimages/slideshow.php This months theme is - MINI & Architecture [/size]For "MINI & Architecture" we are looking for images of the MINI in, alongside, over or under any buildings, statues, monuments, bridges, in fact anything "architectural" that you think looks cool. Ideally we'd like to see intersting angles, unusual structures and nice play between the lines of the car and the lines of the structure(s) in the photograph. But the main thing is that you fun and try things maybe out of the ordinary. The header image is 750 pixels wide by 105 high. File size is not an issue, we'd rather have higher quality images we have to optimize a little to be acceptable for download times, than grainy or over optimised images that don't quite fit the bill. Please make sure that photos submitted this month are "pre-trimmed" to the 750 x 105 pixel dimension. ANYONE can enter (mods, admin, privilege members etc.). If you already have Privilege Membership and win the competition, you will simply never have to pay renewal, it will carry on for life for free. To make it fair (in terms of allowing moderators etc. to participate) the winner will be chosen by myself after the competition closes at the end of each month. Please post all entries in this thread and this thread alone. You can post images as attachments, or upload them to the MINI2 galleries (or your favourite image host) and link to them from this thread. Good luck! Offline | Beat me to it The take up for this second comp is certainly being affected by longevity of the decision on the winner of the first.Even if Paul and the other judges are struggling to pick a winner or the task of getting everyone to make a decision due to other commitments it would be nice if someone would say ![]() |
