Offline | How tall are you??? I just wanted to gauge the height of current Mini owners and take this oppurtunity to ask what your level of comfort has been during the duration of your ownership??? As for me, I'm 6'6", have sat in the current Mini and found it to be roomy, however the steering colum didn't adjust for reach to clear my knees. With the R56 this has changed, so it should be a better fit, at least I hope??? |

Offline | There's a couple of other threads out there asking the same question: http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...ut-there.html? http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...ollow-up.html? http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...cooper-s.html? http://www.mini2.com/forum/mini-conv...l-people.html? http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...i-owners.html? http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...m-metric.html? etc. Although not particularly relating it to the R56. Offline | I'm 5'8" and have the seat at its lowest position, and the back of my seat is about 1" to 1.5" from the start of the rear seats. I don't like sitting close to steering wheels. It is funny when a 6ft mechanic returns the car with the seat too far forward. ![]() |

| GP 0380 | I'm 6Ft 5 and found the Mini to be the most roomy comfortable car for me out there. And the sports seats give me masses of leg room, only car I know of that i can put my legs out straight in the front seat without modified seat mounts. And my knees just clear the steering wheel getting in and out which was a first also. I hate car makers who dont account of larger people, jaguar, porsche are two culprits I can think of. Also size 14 feet posed a problem with many cars having peddles far too close, not so in the Mini. ![]() |

Online | 6' 4" and quite a chunky fella at nearly 20 stone. loads of room for my legs and plenty of of width for my shoulders and elbows. Tried loads of small convertibles and didnt fit in many. The vauxhall tigra is pretty roomy but no where near as nice to drive (no backseats) and not to mention the looks!! |

Offline | You can all sit at the same table and call yourselves the tall club! I'm 5"5 (i think) and used to have a habbit of sitting to close to the steering wheel...that was untill the airbag decided to remind me it can be slightly more comfortable to sit back and down a little... ![]() |

Offline | i cant stand it when they do that!! -my seat never feels in the right place until ive sorted it (usually takes a week of messing about with it!)... i wish they'd just use a boaster cushion or sit on the edge of my seat ![]() Log onto: [url="http://www.newminikernow.co.uk"][font=Arial Black]www.newminikernow.co.uk and check out what's happening in Cornwall |
