Hey all,
First post so I thought I'd put it here

I've moved from the Peugeot scene where I owned a 106 Rallye to purchasing a new MINICooper. My lovely accident 3 years ago prevents me from having the S, but I'm sure I can upgrade to one in 3 years or something

Well, my spec isn't brilliant compared to a lot of them I've read here, but not too bad for a 23 year old

Copied directly from the fancy BMW paperwork:
MINI Cooper 1.6
Astro Black
Cloth Cosmos Black
Pepper Pack
2 Spoke Leather Steering Wheel
Chrome Line Exterior
Floor Mats
Passenger Seat Height Adjustment
Front Foglights
Manual Airconditioning
Onboard Computer
Interior Light Pack
Radio BOOST CD
2nd Remote Key
Rear Roof Spoiler
Roof in Body Colour
Darkened Rear Glass
Additional Decor Rings (no idea what they are, but they were free)
Mini TLC

I decided against the GPS option, considering I work for the company that supply the GPS units ;] Nice bit of saving there, and I think I got a nice little discount too ;]

Now, coming from Peugeot - the car maker that falls apart - to a brand spanking new MINI is something I never thought I'd do, but now I have I cant wait for it to be delivered ! My projected delivery date is 1st week of Dec

When I went to the showroom they actually had one of the new MINI's there which was en-route to Barcelona, and it was an S, but it gave me an idea of what the car was like, and I got to sit in it and everything. It's really cool inside :]

Insurance on a Cooper is Grp8, which means it's 1 group less than my current car, and actually costs me less Fully Comp than my Rallye did Third Party Fire & Theft, so saving all around.

Cant wait ! Only just over a month and a week to go

the waiting game is killing me, i am passing the time by struggling to sell my current car tho

at the moment, it failed it's MOT, so steering racks are being replaced.

oh to own a car i dont have to jack up every 3 days. it's gonna be bliss i tells ya :P

Welcome rec i used to own a 205 gti and a 106 rallye now i've an s but think of your new cooper as all the fun parts of the rallye with a car that will start every day
