the staff from the garage have all moved on most have set up on their own.....mike has a small garage down the road and is specialising in the classic mini at present.....a article will be done in mini mag in the near future...as he is passionate to keep the late john coopers torch burning......and all his minis are serviced by the technitions from the old garage...his email is classicminis@btconnect.com ....and yes there is a lot peaple dont know about the garage closure

Just went onto the John Cooper website to see if they had any more info about the R56 Works and the website is shut with this message:

John Cooper Garages will be closed throughout October 2006 due to reorganisation. Unfortunately we cannot be contacted (phone or e-mail) during this time and it will not be possible to place internet or mail orders.

Normal service will resume on 1st November 2006 and we apologise for
any inconvenience caused.

Hi,

I heard the garage shut and they were due to re open on 1st November 2006 at a different location providing parts. Has the situation changed?

It shut a while ago. Their website is down until Nov 1st due to the changes. They are selling the parts from the same location they always did for mail order.

they will consetrate on making the kits for bmw now you will not be able to go there for any instalations stealers only

They are not contactable until the 1st Novemeber by any means. The phone number has a recorded message at the moment. Just have to sit tight and wait for the 1st November...

sounds very sad and i' m not even a customer, well yet. I was looking at the works sound kit for my cooper. Would you recomend it?! Obviously its for the noise but is the throttle response improved?

I'd recommend it 100%. The throttle response is much improved. Check my gallery for pictures.

I got a letter from Mini Motorsport I think it was called, which is run by Tony Franks the ex chief engineer from JCG. He is still authorised to do 225 upgrades and lots of other bits and bobs.

JCW are not a PLC no, therefore no shareholders, therfore they obviously don't give a s...

Thought I might poin out it took them about 3 months to update their site when they changed to JCW from JCG so I wouldn't hold out much hope of anything soon.
