mini total strip down

reading the auto express this week and they did a total strip down of a long term car they own just to see how its wearing after 60000 miles. mini cooper full inspection makes interesting reading ,its a 2003 model . worth a look"!

I saw it. Very little content to it though. The stripdowns are pretty pants to what they used to be. The only thing that came out of it was excessive drive shaft wear

It was acceptable in the 80's

yeah read it and not a great deal there. just complained that there were too many rattles, boot small and it needed a new gearbox, nothing new out of that!

i think what was reasuring was thefact that there was very little engine wear , and that the car was a bit quicker now

The thing is though having read AE for about 5 years every stripdown is the same. Car is faster, economy is worse and very little engine wear. They're all the same. I've yet to see one that says there are major concern with the car or anything unusual.

It was acceptable in the 80's
