United-Kingdom British Mini Club

Hi MINI2'ers

Just been thinking about joining the British Mini Club I am wondering, has anybody saved/know if i could save a lot on my insurance? I have heard of people joining other vehicle manufacturer clubs and getting massive insurance discounts.

Reading on the BMC website it does say you can save on insurance, im just wondering if anyone knows if it is a significant amount! As like everybody I would love to get my premiums down!

Hope somebody can help me out

Dan

I used to be a member of their club, made no savings other than a pound each year when I attended one of its meetings

Not worth it, sign up on here to the Privilege Scheme and you'll save more when buying from the site sponsors and then shop around for insurance, you'll get it cheaper than any club discount scheme.

Its only a forum you know!

I wouldn't join them. At a mini show I went to they had a petition to sign to stop the new MINI being allowed into their club.
After trying to have a constructive conversation with the people on the stand, I gave up and spent my money elsewhere. Even if they have changed their attitudes and opened their narrow minds I'll stick with my local club and other clubs that embrace progress...........

cheers people! If i join then i till expect it to be just for the folder and tax disc holder Not insurance!

Although when you all say you didnt save onj insurance, did you try the insurance companies on the actual BMC site? as they are theones that say they give discount for members?

As you cn probably tell, my insurance is currently high

I saved about £50 ish on the classic policy, have yet to renew the other, plus got guaranteed value and other bits chucked in that would have cost more elsewhere I did phone up and check how much I'd save before I joined the BMC

Yes, the one and only. This was sometime ago at Stamford Hall mini show. I guess they have changed a bit since then, but to have a petition to NOT allow a car into the club. Please, isn't there better things they could have wasted their time on !?

Thats the National Mini Owners Club show not the BMC.

The BMC Shows are Bingley, Himley Hall and Sandon Hall.

The BMC has and always been pro MINI from day one, anything like a petition going on would have lead to the people involved being asked to leave the showground.

Footman James have given me some very competitive quotes, and the BMC discount on parts has meant I made my membership back almost immediatley.

Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team.....

Well it was a while ago so my memory got fuddled. All power to the British mini club and two fingers to the National mini club.
