Tax dodgers

Just looking on the DVLA site and found this:

Vehicles information

Would you shop someone or a vehicle that you saw on the road without its Tax disc showing or up to date?

Most untaxed cars I've come across are driven by uninsured and often unlicenced drivers. Would you want them driving into your car? Bye bye no claims!

when you report it. You call to DVLA, they put you on hold, you wait 5 minutes to get connected and when connected the person behind the phone doesn't give a ********. Even though you report it no one cares.
why bothere, if dvla is not even bothered enough.
It is same with everything. I reported an unattended package in the bank, and the guy said ok and went back to work, after 10 minutes a manager showed up to see if it was anything dangerous.

So why bother prosecuting shoplifters? What about TV licenses? If you can afford a car you can afford to tax and insure it.

And if you can't afford a tax disc, what are the chances you can afford insurance?

See where I'm going with this?

I don't know what it's like grassing people up to the DVLA, but I see no justification for anyone driving with no tax/mot/insurance/licence.

I would certainly report someone with no road-tax. Guy down the road has a disc that expired January 2005. If you belive the ads 'they' know who/where he is ! Yeah right ! So in over 20 months no Policeman/traffic warden has seen it ! What a joke ! At least he has replaced the 4 bald tyres with some quality remoulds.
I pay my taxes and am law abiding, so why should others get away with it ?

This is useful....
Untaxed vehicle : Directgov - Motoring
The likelihood of having any MOT or insurance is pretty low, if he ran his car into yours only imagine the aggrevation......

What?? Well if you can't afford a tax disc, you don't drive your car. And if you do, you deserve everything you get. If everyone else has to pay, there are no excuses.

I would consider bald tyres pretty serious. Especially if he were driving behind me and had to stop in a hurry. Dare say the back of my car would become a set of buffers.
As for road tax - you wanna drive then you gotta pay. Would you get on a train without paying ?
As for moving on, the bikeshed brigade dodge their tax, the rest of us take our responsibilities seriously.
