| MINI2 Regular | I saw the new MINI tonight It had its premier here in Sweden tonight and I was not impressed by the looks of it. To start with, the plastics surrounding the wheels are too big, it almost looks like a SUV or something. The hood is less curvy and looks simpler. I liked the front seats, the are more comfortable than in my 2004 Cooper, very nice. MINI says it has increased the quality feel inside but I do not agree 100%, although it looks rather nice altogether and some of the materials is nice, the center panel is simpler (controls) and more "difficult" to use. New engine seems a good thing since it will use less petrol but I miss a "environment friendly " MINI, I really hope they make one very soon. After this evening I started to think about buying one of the last "old" MINIs because of my thoughts. I know this is my personal first impression and it might change and we all do have different taste, maybe you like it more than I did . |

Offline | Great thanks for your opinion. It's only when you see and feel the car in the flesh that you can really make your mind up. Personally, I'm hoping to really like the car, and that the front will look better in the flesh than in the photos. I still remain unsure about some of the centre controls that are arranged into MINI badges - I find this a little over the top, but, the new speedo with the sat nav looks just brilliant and that's not a word I use often. ![]() |

Offline | Haven't seen it for real, but from the pics, it's lost the curves that made the original and the remake what they are. A shame really me thinks....... Mykie '06 MINI Cooper, BRG/W '00 Freelander (work car) '93 Vitara (mud monster) |
