I thought of another question Paul. Sport mode; does it default to off when you restart the car or does it remember the setting you last used? If it does default to off I can see that being an early mod required for some of us more spirited drivers

It was acceptable in the 80's

paul ,how does the air circulation & ventilation seem compared to the old car? not sure if you have air con in your test car but one thing that always bugged me (in a minor way) with the old car is the poor air circulation around the cabin & the rather poor manual air con which never gets as chilly as it should

Not used the aircon really, but in general the de-mist and heater works well. Probably a bit better than my old S.

Always goes off when you switch off.

Its filthy now! Looks like the back spoiler and replacement to the rounded glass isn't helping keep the back clean then!

Does the aircon impose as much as a load on the engine as the outgoing model, in terms of when pulling away from junctions etc?

Caught up witht the daily reports today excellent reading but just how much pops and bangs do you get on the overun compared to the hillariously noisy 05 model?

Video coming soon to help demonstrate that it does pop and bang. And it doesn't take much. The exhaust in fact is great in terms of noise. Still not convinced in terms of looks V the old one, but the tone is spot on.

Now I see why the moulding tore off, riding through those puddles that way.

Nice video. I just wish you had stepped out of the car at the end and waved.
