Offline | I wasn't wearing anything below the waist so had to stay in the car. OK, that was a lie. I did worry when the camera went under water a bit in the splash, but it was OK. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Cooper S engine noise at idle Nice work Paul over the last week. After watching the video, i noticed that the engine sounded really tappety, almost like a diesel dare i say. What did you think? It is just the injectors and the new direct injection system? Paul |

Offline | Hi Paul, Any thoughts on the traction control (IMHO the worst part of the old new MINI)? Particularly interested in whether it still cuts in at junctions leaving you bogged down. I'm reserving judgement until I've had a test drive, although your real world report is somehow more useful to us MINI owners than reviews in AUTOCAR/WHAT CAR/TOP GEAR etc etc. |

Offline | "The pair features a new BMW-designed, PSA-built advanced 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that makes the old 1.6-litre look uncomfortably like something knocked out for a GCSE project." Doh! Didn't know PSA owned BMW Plant Hams Hall. Who's GCSE project is this? ![]() |
